At the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa’s monthly meeting on Saturday, May 10, the focus will be on DNA.
9:00 a.m. — Elizabeth A.R. Kaegi and James F.S. Thomson will offer Six Thoughts about Autosomal DNA Tests.
9:30 a.m. — Browse the Discovery Tables that will contain DNA-related items, hosted by Bill Arthurs.
10:00 a.m. — What Really Happened? A Genetic Success Story. Ms. Kaegi and Mr. Thomson will explain how they solved a six-decade old mystery using traditional genealogical techniques with new genetic tests.
The meeting will take place at Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa. Open to members and visitors. Admission is free. Details are available on BIFHSGO’s website.
