Where to find historical Canadian newspapers

In his blog, The Ancestor Hunt, Kenneth R. Marks from Arizona has done a superb job of listing the titles of historical newspapers available in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and — just added this week — Ontario and Nova Scotia, where they are stored, and which ones are available online. He has also produced a series of short video tutorials, available on YouTube, about researching newspapers, and these include some Canadian provinces.

  1. Thank you Gail for referencing my articles and my website. I really appreciate it. I will be adding a few more provinces soon. Tackling Quebec for me will be a challenge since I don’t know the French language but hopefully in a week or so I will be adding an article for Quebec. Thanks again.
