BIFHSGO family history writing competitions for youth and members

The British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa (BIFHSGO) has posted more information about their two 2014 Family History Writing Competitions: one for BIFHSGO members only and one for youth under 22 years of age.

BIFHSGO members are encouraged to write a non-fiction account that describes one ancestral line or part of a line which has roots in the British Isles. Such accounts might describe several generations of family history and capture one or more family experiences. They might also be non-fiction character sketches or memoirs that give a sense of an ancestor’s character and personality. The best entries will reflect in some way the historical era and/or the social context of the times.
