FFHS produces WWI leaflet

Thanks to the British Columbia Genealogical Society (BCGS), I learned that the Federation of Family History Societies (FFHS) “has recently published the 2014 version of Our really useful information leaflet which, as this year is the centennial of the start of World War I, features an article on Researching Your [British] World War One Ancestors by Simon Fowler and a list of useful websites for WWI research.”

A project like this leaflet is a terrific, low-cost idea and it may inspire family history societies to produce their own printed or online leaflet on a particular topic.

The FFHS celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. It serves 180 societies around the world, including the BCGS, Alberta Family Histories Society, British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa, and the Quebec Family History Society.
