Savoir faire — Google Earth webinar

Legacy Family Tree presents a free webinar about Google Earth on Wednesday, March 5, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. Lisa Louise Cooke will teach you how to unlock mysteries in your research: from unidentified photographs, to how an ancestral location looked a hundred years ago or more, to plotting homesteads precisely using land patent legal descriptions. You will learn how to interpret the genealogical records you already have in new and exciting ways using layers, overlays, forensic analysis, and little known online tech tools.

A friend attended Lisa’s Google Earth presentation at the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa’s conference last fall and said it was terrific — and then she had lunch with Lisa, instead of us.

Register here to watch the presentation live. It will be archived for viewing for free for about seven days afterward.

I am registered, and really appreciate that the webinar is archived just. Listening and learning from Lisa Louise Cooke is like music to my ears. Maybe as one of the friends, it’s my turn to sit with one of the speakers at lunch or dinner this year at the BIFHSGO conference! You have to come see for yourself just how much fun we have together at the BIFHSGO conference while we are in the process of learning!
