Free online access to more than 1.3 million Quebec obituaries

Sébastien Robert, vice-president at Drouin Institute, announced yesterday that free online access is now available to more than 1.3 million obituaries on the Drouin Institute website. The obituaries begin in 1999 and come from more than 250 sources. You can search by name, date of publication, or browse by last name.

Monsieur Robert also advised that the Quebec Protestant marriage indexing project, 1760-1849, including 200 Protestant churches, has been completed. Nearly 26,000 Protestant marriages will be added to their website in the LAFRANCE section in April and access to this collection will be available by subscription.
